Michel Pereira

Michel Pereira is one of the most eccentric middleweights in the UFC. Hailing from the state of Pará, Brazil, the Brazilian is renowned for his acrobatic striking and unpredictable style, incorporating elements of capoeira.

Pereira was born in 1993 in Marabá, northern Brazil. He developed a karate background, supplementing it with Brazilian jiu-jitsu and capoeira. He made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2011.

His debut in the promotion was a spectacular one – a first-round knockout of Danny Roberts at UFC Fight Night 151. As a welterweight, the Brazilian racked up an eight-fight winning streak and earned three Performance of the Night bonuses. After moving up to middleweight (185 pounds), Pereira began a new chapter with three quick first-round finishes.

Pereira has a professional record of 32 wins and 14 losses in MMA and a 10-5 record in the UFC. After a bright start in the new weight class, he suffered three consecutive losses to Anthony Hernandez, Abus Magomedov, and Kyle Dokas. Pereira ended his losing streak in February 2026, winning a split decision over Zachary Rees at UFC Fight Night 267.
